Dry Brushing for Winter Wellness

If your legs are anything like mine, they are dry - scaly, scary dry!  To remedy this, I recommend Dry Brushing! Prettier legs are just one of its many perks!  


Dry brushing has a variety of benefits: 

  • It helps with lymphatic flow. If you don't have flow, you won't have glow! The lymphatic system is a major part of our bodies' immune function. With regular dry brushing, you can help normalize lymph flow to assist the body to detoxify itself naturally.  

  • Dry brushing can also be a great way to boost energy.  I like to dry brush right before I shower in the morning versus the evening, as it really gets the blood flowing and energizes me for the day to come.  It can be especially beneficial during the cold winter months, which can be quite draining both physically and emotionally.  

  • As stated above, dry brushing is great for exfoliation, leading to  softer smoother, more glowing skin!

  • Some literature suggests dry brushing may also help to decrease cellulite... the jury is out on this one, but hey, it can't hurt  :)  

When dry brushing, start at your feet and do long, smooth, light strokes towards your heart.
